Purposes : developing competitivity of furniture industry through inclusion of ecology as element of identity and of market competition.
The aim is to trust in ecology as tool of change. In this sense Centro Sperimentale del Mobile wants to make a deep work to create awareness in businessmen about the importance of ecology in conquering mature markets. This can happen creating support tools, such as an archive of sustainable and not sustainable, traditional and innovative materials and a guide to eco-design, tools which will be used by companies and their consultants (designers, technicians, suppliers, ...). The ending activity of project includes the activation of cooperation relationships between designers and Tuscan companies of furniture sector, who are invited to realize innovative product prototypes using available tools.
